Transferring Heat

Conductivity
- Transfer thermal energy within one material or between material in contact.
- Response to a temperature gradient

Convection (No convection in space)
- Transfer of thermal energy from one place to another due to the movement of fluid.

Radiation
- Transfer of energy by means of electromagnetic radiation
- No medium needed

Radiant Energy

$q_{solar}$ Direct solar flux
$q_{albedo}$ Reflected sun energy
$q_{planetshine}$ Planetary infrared energy
$Q_{generated}$ Energy generated by the Spacecraft
$Q_{stored}$ Energy contained inside the Spacecraft
$Q_{out,rad}$ Radiated energy to the cold sink of space
